I wrote in a article on the site a long time ago that I predicted there to be dialogue about Midnight Riders in The Passing because you can tell by Francis' style that he's a fan.

Well, with the Tattoos, the cocky attitude, and rocking hard, he pretty much is the next Midnight Rider, in fact, he could be one.

Spoiler:: ok. NOW it's official. Bill is dead. It's not random, it's ALWAYS Bill.
Did the last level 6 times over now, Bill be dead.

Valve also
altered the Kite like a Man achievement survivor. It's Francis now.

Louis
hurt his leg as well by the looks of things, but he's otherwise okay.

Francis
states they've had enough of the Military, but they never even mention
Bill. At all.

Bill on the official forums:
You can find him if you go into the small room by the generator...looks gory...poor Bill...

Additional edit: Tried defibbing him, didn't work. Haha.

EXTRA EDIT: On the last play through I did Francis does actually say they lost a good man getting the bridge up, they aren't exactly happy about putting it back down. Louis is also apparently hurt. Looks like Francis DOES care.

Zoey also mentions to rochelle after telling her they can't lower the bridge from up there she says they lost a man and another injured zoey doesnt care as much

SPOIL-oh screw it, everyone knows by this point:

Louis claims a Tank kill in the name of Bill, Louis and Francis both joke that Bill would have shot Nick by now for being an asshole, and Zoey looks away upset. About the only time I've seen her do anything related to him.

Rochelle is the most understanding of the other survivors loss.

Gotta say, Rochelle got a major boost in this DLC, complete with GENUINELY funny lines that she actually states often. If one good thing came of Bill's death, it's Rochelle coming out her shell and speaking up.

With Bill dead however, I wonder what the three remaining trio will do. Bill was after all the undisputed leader, and now currently they have no goal. Francis states they've had enough of the military and refuse to go with the new survivors to be rescued.

So what are they going to do? Live on the bridge for the rest of their lives? Form a three man band helping any other survivors out of hell?
Defib Bill's corpse(which btw in game, doesn't work. Curse you plot related death!) and go back to their original plan?

My guess is it'll be a while before they have to worry about that. I mean the L4D1 DLC only tells the story up until The Passing and after that they could use some more DLC's that link the L4D campaigns better and they could even do a prequal. It's obvious that if they DO eventually have to add on to the story that they have to find another Survivor. Hopefully it'll be Chicago Ted.

I'd just like to hear some confirmation from Valve they're at least working on the comic/L4D DLC explaining the death, also god damn it Jim French, you better record some lines for this. It's not like you'll have to ever do it again now.
