This here is a fun little topic where you can post all the times you've been robbed of victory due to malicious AI bots. This can apply to both games, just my examples are of the first game;

1.) I was about to Cr0wn a Witch on Crash Course(normal) when Francis caught up to me and began using a medkit on me(I'd used mine, so I couldn't use it to get him to back off). Needless to say the Witch stands up a little faster than Francis heals, and I get smashed down. AI Francis and the other two bots then proceed to leave me to my fate, and run away.
I turned the game off after that.

2.) Blood Harvest 5, Expert. Witch killed AI Zoey, and both myself and my sister were downed by a horde. Louis slowly picks at the Witch's HP with a pistol standing OVER our bodies, as we fight the horde off. We kill the horde, but Louis isn't quite finished shooting at the Witch who is still fleeing in circles. We both die with Louis standing over us refusing to help, just as the Witch FINALLY dies.

3.) No Mercy finale, Advanced. Myself(Bill) and my sister(Francis) made it to the rescue vechile, along with Louis, but for some reason Zoey remained behind. She wasn't pounced, snagged or boomed on, she just refused to get on the helicoptor. Next thing we know, a Tank arrives in front of us and punches all three of us sending us off the building to our deaths.

No Mercy 4. I was alone of expert (offline) and bill is just running around in circles right out side the saferoom door. there was a hunter outside but it wasnt going after bill. so i went to go kill bill and the hunter punced me and bill just started doing more circles.

On just about ever run on expert with AI bots and the Tank. Every time the Tank incaps me, the survivors continue to run away, but one of the AI bots could at least help me up while the Tank is distracted. No of them do and I have to start the level all over again wonder why ever AI bot has to be a noob.

This is going back a bit, but around the time the game came out, I was playing Zoey, was on my own on Advanced, on the sewer level in No Mercy. I had only just gone to orange health.

Bill's ran ahead of me, and I shot a zombie as Francis catches up to me, along with Louis.

Francis states: "Zoey, darling heal up!" and then because I ignored him, Louis decides he'll go and heal me.

Meanwhile I'm trying to help Bill, because a hoards arrived and are helping themselves to a Bill sandwich.

Whilst, Francis and Louis are fighting over who gets to heal me, I can't save Bill because Francis and Louis' shoulders are in the way, and I planned on finishing with all the AI still alive.

After frantic name calling (on my part), and then decking both the AI, we managed to save the incapped AI Bill and went on to complete the level.

Theres only a few reasons why im starting to very slowly hate l4d/l4d2:
1.No-one plays fair anymore
2.Im sick of teams spawning FREAKING healthpacks. im not jokin myself and friends were playing legit against a team and we had maybe 12 through the campaign and they had 20+
3.One time when my team were survivors the other team all were tanks, i don't know how they did it and i don't want to and i know for a FACT only 1 person can be a tank.
4. players who sound like there 10 or younger and the language that comes from their mouths is disguisting. In my eyes they shouldn't be playing games like this at their age! bad parenting i say.
5. Players who deliberatly come into a game and mess around and get their team killed its so annoying
Thats why and there probably will be more through time. All i want is to play fairly with legit teams, i could probs cheat if i wanted to but thats not the point of the game GRRRRRRR

And i hate being called a NOOB! i just wanna punch that person in the face that said it, im not a noob. to me a noob is someone that plays in a team and doesnt even know what to do or how to play or maybe 6yr old

The BOT AI on both L4D games is awful. They wander off constantly. Often I find myself fighting a horde single handed. At the end of the battle I'll be sitting on a slither of health with a black and white screen and I'll see their little glowing outlines bouncing around on the fifth floor of some building three blocks away. They stand around scratching their arses when you are incapped and being kerb stomped/having the witch rip you a new one/doing the little mid air dance while some smoker chokes the living shit out of you. While you are deploying an ammo upgrade they steal your health pack. They will never keep up with you no matter how slow you go. They will insist on healing you at the most inopportune moments. They willl refuse to enter the safe room until the tank goes in first and pounds you back to the stone age. As for SI AI...They will ALWAYS ignore the BOTs and target the single player. These programming deficiencies make anything other than a normal difficulty setting a ridiculous proposition. Goddammit I still love the game, but with just a little more effort it could have been perfect...

I was playin l4D1 on no mercy finale alone on advanced as francis i was walkin around the edge of the roof & all of a sudden Louis decides to end his life by jumpin off i later died because i was on the top of room with the radio standin on a corner i got pounced & instead of helpin me zoey & bill decided to dance on me!

here's a nice one. Death Toll advanced, by myself. a tank right at the beginning of the level, OK, we can handle that. i stay up on the church shooting it with the bots, i light it on fire, then jump down when it climbs up. only problem is, Francis wants to hug it. it sends him flying, instant death. ok then, we can still do this. Instead of running like she should, Zoey decides to look for francis's body from the church ledge he was thrown from, and then the tank finds her. Louis decides to conform as he stands there with a tank running up behind him shooting commons off my back and...well i think you get the picture. at least i was only beginning the level.

and heres number 2. the finale, 1st tank dead, incoming horde and the bots are healing. a smoker grabs me from the boathouse roof and begins dangling me like meat. AI Louis sees his chance to redeem himself, and runs to save me. he's literally almost touching me when AI Francis is incapped by about 3 commons. He decides that instead of even FREEING me, he'll let me and the smoker work out our differences ourselves, and he does a 180 and runs for Francis.

Their attempt to crown a witch and a tank
Ellis got his sniper and stood in front of the witch he waited for her to get mad and tried to attempt to crown her he was dead soon after.
I don't think coach knows that you can't crown a tank he did the same thing as ellis but with an auto shottie and it was a tank (at least he got the weapon right)
