knowing attack "orders" helps a lot too..although certain situations requires a different "order" For instance generally if you have a boomer, he would go in first to blind the survivors..if you don't have a boomer, but you have a charger..then He would initiate the attack because he has the most health and can better create an opening for a better team attack. Sometimes in crucial choke points (like the ladder climb on Dark Carnival2) you may want the smoker to pull the first survivor up and the rest of the infected cover him. Also awareness of opportunity helps a lot. Being able to pick off that one survivor that lagged behind..or seeing that another infected has grabbed the straggler and then offer him support by waiting for someone to rescue him and then "securing" (pounce, smoke, jock, or charge) them. There's lots of little bits and tricks you learn along the way. Playing with a set group of people helps even more as individual teams may do things a bit differently.
