I think the single greatest improvement in this game is the Pipe Bombs. Seeing infected body parts fly everywhere is just...AMAZING.

campaign modes have melee limits, but melee weapons make up for that

but the melee weapons do make things messy, very messy it's fun

the campaign connects with all of the others

I feel bad for people in Austraslia alotta editing in they're version I wonder how watered down it really is.

The campaigns are brilliant.

Yeah I love the campaigns...alot better than L4D's, not as bland and generic.

Sidenote: How many people still play L4D1? After I got 2 I knew I would never play L4D again.

i still play l4d1 in my opionion i think the m16 from the first one is better and the pistols are GODLY in that game opposed to left 4 dead 2s pistols

Yeah I used the AR all the time in L4D and it was killer, but in L4D2 it doesn't seem as good, still deadliest gun in the game but not as great as it used to be.

Likes;At first I was all excited about the Melee weapons, but hot damn, I love the Magnum. The pistols always felt kinda useless when you were downed, even if you had two. I can at least keep the common infected at bay a little bit now.
The new Infected are a welcome change of pace from the Smoker/Boomer/Hunter combo. Spitter is one of the greatest additions, although Jockey is also great fun.
Smacking someone around with a guitar. The first time is so delightfully enjoyable to hear that TWANG! noise.
Boomer Bile, Adreneline, Defib units are also welcome additions. How often I wanted a defib unit during the finales of the original.
The Tank no longer being sped up on campaign when set on fire.
Ellis and Coach.

Dislikes; naturally the disappointment of no playable originals in the new DLC. That aside, I'm kinda too crap for Expert mode/realism on this one, whilst I at least managed both No Mercy and Death Toll on expert in the original.
Additionally, the atmosphere. As great as the Parish is, daylight doesn't give a creepy atmosphere. Probably why this game feels so gun ho compared to the first.
Surprisingly, weapons. There's so many new weapons, I honestly don't understand what the difference in half of them are. Just gimme the Assault Rifle, Autoshotgun and Hunting rifle. I know what these do.
Autoshotgun nerf.
Tank nerf.
Rochelle being kinda bland. She's not BAD, it's just I expected more personality from Valve.
