achievement fail?

Hey guys,

I have been play L4D2 for awhile and just got L4D1. My first run through on No Mercy I got a number of achievements. However, I died at the finale (but the AI still got on the chopper so it ended the campaign for me). Anyway, later when I went to check the achievements, the ones I earned during No Mercy were not there. Does this mean that in order to get credit for them in L4D1 I have to survive the campaign? Thanks.

UPDATE: I turned off the xbox before going to bed last night. I turned it on this morning and it says i have no achievements! Come to think of it, I had turned the game off after No Mercy yesterday too. So my big question is, how do I fix this!?! Help please.

I can help you with these issues.

1. In order to get credit for surviving a campaign, you must be standing the rescue vehicle in order to get credit.

2. This is sometimes a normal issue. To make sure you have all the achievements, make sure you are at the main menu after you finish for the day, check your achievements, take out the disc, then turn the console off. It could also mean that you didn't sign into your profile the second time.

i was signed in. I checked my achievements via the dashboard and they were all there. when i loaded the game back up though, the in-game achievements menu said i had zero. very frustrating. is there a patch or something i need to download? i did download the update it said i needed to when i first put the disc in.

Are they missing only from th in-game achievements menu? or also from the xbox achievement menu?

I ask cuz i know there used to be a problem with the in-game achievements menu not registering the achievs you got... but they showed up in the xbox menu with no problem.

It happened to me many times where my achivs in the in-game menu wouldn't show, but after a while they are all showing like they supposed to. I didn't do anything to fix it thou.

yeah, when i look at my achievements from my profile in the xbox menu they are all there. it is kind of annoying that they don't show up in game. guess i just wait too see if/when they come back. thanks.

Yeah that's been a problem since the Crash Course was released, but eventually it's gonna get fixed. As long as the achivs register in the xbox menu!

i had the same problem that they showed up via xbox achievments and not in game ones. but when i bought CC it somehow fixed it so if u dont have CC then get it
