Diagnosing Disharmony

Post by SpottableCrab on May 29th 2010, 6:24 pm

I think we all agree that team harmony is a major downfall for this game. What causes disharmony though? Team mates being too serious, not serious enough, failing to communicate, not shutting up? I am interested in not only the rant of team mates incompetence, but some sort of cure for it. Any stories out there about how a defective team mate was fixed?

The only immediate short-term fix is a kick.

Yeah! Then throw them out of the game. I pretty much always play with friends. We are all on the same page and things run fairly smooth. the real problem is rage quitting on the other side.

Nothing like scrotal trauma to instill focus.

it can be argued that scrotal trauma is the worst trauma of them all.

I'm sorry, what?

So back to the diagnosing disharmony; people don't like one another. Gamers are even worse than regular people. That's why the majority of online games are filled with trash talkers, swearing teenagers, kick-happy loons and friendly fire jackasses.

Solution?
Maybe install a feature that autokicks anyone who repeatedly friendly fires every minute. Or simply disallow guests to vote. Seriously. Most the time these friendly fire asshats join a game with a guest, proceed to try and mow everyone down, ruin the game for everyone and avoid being kicked, as both of them are going to vote No.
