New Update on the way

Post by UpChuckles56 on June 9th 2010, 8:33 pm

Valve released an update to the PC version which we'll be getting in our next title update which will be god knows when but it does fix a few problems and generally makes the game better.

-Changed Survivorbot item hunting behavior

-SurvivorBots now stay closer to human players in all game modes

-Fixed Survivorbot navigation issue in The Passing: Riverbank

-Fixed bug where a SurvivorBot could become catatonic when attempting to save another Survivor from a Smoker

-Fixed condition where SurvivorBots would not enter the saferoom

-Increased self-inflicted friendly fire damage from the Grenade Launcher

-Fixed bug where the M60 would reset its ammo if dropped in certain situations

-Car Alarms will now trigger anytime a Special Infected pushes/pulls/rams a Survivor into an alarm car. This change only affects game modes with human-controlled Zombies

If this update finally gives me a reason to continue, then please keep fixing the game Valve.
I hope when the title update comes to 360, it will help improve gameplay for everyone.

Please also sight an official source where you found this info.

Every update is on the Steam News. The problem is that all the Steam News updates are for PC so they might have 5 updates before we get 1 massive update...

I'm glad we are getting those updates (when is the question)... it seems they put most of the time in fixing the SurvivorBots which is awesome! Those bots need a real smack in the face sometimes!

Yeah, the SurvivorBots especially need work now since the InfectedBots are showing them up.

I don't know about you guys, since all of you are like experts in this game, but i find those InfectedBots are no joke! They seriously make my life miserable... i've been playing against my friend in versus lately (each of use with A.I team) and it has been a massacre... maybe it's cuz we suck LOL... but IMO i think Valve did a great job with those InfectedBots for sure!

It's not really that they are super smart or tough it's just really that the bots just keep coming like there's no break in between their attacks. Unlike human infected ambushes.

They are still missing one update that we need for expert campaign runs:

-Unlimited melee fixed into campaign/realism modes.

Several of these fixes should help improve the gameplay more profoundly.

I also felt that the grenade launcher was too weak in self-infliction to survivors, as long as it doesn't mean instant incap, then It's good for me.

Valve said Campaign is supposed to have Melee Fatigue in it. They meant for it because It actually made Campaign difficult. I enjoy melee fatigue in Campaign it helps you learn to control your melee.
