L4D Scary ???

Hey guys. My friend and i had recently watch the first trailer of l4d ( the very old one used for the demo) and he said it was scary. i think the older version was kinda scary since it was dark as HELL. then they made the other version of L4D (the new one) and not that freaky. So my question is do you think valve intended the game to be like a horror game at first but change it into being more of a fun exiting game with light? why or why not ?

You know you can change the light in the game. That's pretty easy to make it like the first L4D jsut change the light in the game that's what some of my friends do to make it scary.

I don't think it was really ever meant to be scary, I only thought it was scary when I played the demo for L4D1 because back then I had no idea what this game was about I found the hunters scary at first but then instead of being scary it became nothing short of a nuisance.

Well at first l4d wasn't valves game it was someone elses but sold it to valve, the trailer and charecters would have looked like that now and the screamer would still be there. I think the old l4d looks more realistic and darker and no mercy appartments looked great.
