Expert glitch questions

1.Do you have to this online ?
2.Can you do this with only 1 split screener, and if you can Online or Offline ?

number One: nope it can be done offline and online.
number Two: this game unfortunately is a co-op only 2 player game so it has to be split screen or one player, this also can be done both online and offline.

side note; it is VERY easy to do. just go through on single player the first 4 chapters, exit top the main menu without opening the safe room door of the finale, start up single player again straight away, finish the finale on expert. and your achievement will be earned.

(cause in my honest opinion, if you complete ANY l4d1 finale on expert solo, you earned it even if the first 4 chapters were easy, cause the challenging thing about l4d1, it's the best and hardest l4d out of them both. hands down.)

I did the expert runs in split screen for Left 4 Dead 1. Only JUST managed to work out when it'll work for Left 4 Dead 2 after many many tries(and too late too, I ended up using Last Man on Earth to beat 3 of the campaigns, and this sites Jesus spots for the rest). Solo MAY not be as hard as you think if you use the L4D1 Jesus spots.

BTW; when are we going to officially post on the site about Dead Air's Jesus Plane glitch? I noticed it still wasn't in the news posts.

Tons of people know about it. Personally, I just don't like it because of all the stuff you have to do to get to it. The finale is really not that hard if you stay in the open area and use the tank glitch. I remember I did it that way on my first try with only one other human and 2 BOTS. If you really want it, we'll post it.

i honestly just wanna see it, cause it is a difficult campaign but it's much easier and doable than say blood harvest or death toll without the jesus' haha. but that would be good and could be helpful.

For this glitch you will need the following:
-Dead Air Finale
-2 luggage carriers
-Prefferably 3 human partners(if one or two are bots, change
to expert and kill them PRIOR to this glitch. The bots WILL NOT follow
you, and have a nasty habit of getting in the way of you moving the
luggage carriers. Outta the way AI Louis!)
-Pipebombs
-Gas Tanks/oxygen tanks
-Some sort of skill at platform games

In front of your escape plane there's a truck. Next to the truck is a luggage carrier on wheels. This will be your platform to get onto the plane. There's another a little behind it. You'll need both for this.

Now how to move it:
Pick up a gas canister or oxygen tank(should be plenty around) and throw it into the luggage carrier.
Upon doing so move into the luggage carrier.
You'll very(very very VERY) slowly, but surely, move it.
Now, place one next to the truck and rinse and repeat with the other plutting it in front of plane's nose to create two platforms between the truck and plane.
Clamber onto the truck and leap from it's roof onto the first luggage carrier, onto the next and then onto the nose of the plane.
From here, walk up into the middle of the plane which is arguably the safest place to stay to avoid Smoker tongues.


May take a few attempts to get the carriers moving and to line your makeshift platforms up correctly, so don't alert the horde until this is done. Once this is done, everyone get onto the plane, with one person(prefferably the one who is best at jumping across; do some test runs first) jumping down to activate the pump, run back to the truck, climb onto the roof and Mario hop your way across onto the plane. Gather with your friends and get ready to spam Melee on one another in fear of rogue Smokers dragging you off.

Smoker's are about ALL that can get you up here, however so relax about that bad
ol' Tank. The Tank should auto-die, as this is a jesus spot, and the horde may not even spawn. Make sure you have some pipe bombs ready just in case.
When the plane opens, head to the tail of the plane.
This bit isn't solid, and you should fall through directly in front of the door.
Pipebomb to keep hordes away and be vigilant for any special infected. Last thing you need is a Smoker pulling you out the plane, being blinded by a Boomer or Huntered at the last second.
Everyone get in.
Ding!
Another achievement unlocked without hopefully too much trouble.

Recommended with at least two people including yourself, due to cheeky Smokers trying to grab ya.

Now what about the jesus tractor on blood harvest, it involves just getting on the tractor and someone starting the finale, on a side note you will need atleast two people on the cab of the tractor just in case a smoker tries to pull someone off, other than that its an easy jump on top of the cab.

i finally got the Dear Air plane glitch to work, actually took me only one try.
it is very hard to determine where to push it too, but not so hard once on top (:

EDIT: and once on top fuck me is it hard to do well. every common stay underneath you under the wing IF your soloing it to stay away from the smoker, he's your only biggest bastard to own you otherwise your fine. so you need maybe someone on the ground or to kill the horde? im not sure, the plane is unlike the rock or room, which are alot easier to get into and on. keep searching for more ideas on dead air, i think i will.

The Dead Air plane glitch was actually how I got the Untouchables achievement. I was fairly inexperienced with L4D, had only played my brother's copy a couple times and only had my own for about a week, and I joined in a friend's game where they were setting it up. I thought they were crazy and couldn't figure out what they were doing. lol This was before we got a new mic that worked too so I could hear them but they couldn't hear me.

But it worked really well and we got the achievement! Of course, at that point I didn't even realize what all the available achievements were but I'm sure glad that one is done! Not knowing what was going on, I almost screwed it up by not realizing how to get off the plane easily and safely but thankfully they had my back and I didn't get hit.
