XBox: $20 worth of DLC, no Custom Maps , Banned if using Mods, No Console cheats
I wonder if valve is underestimating us.
It's not VALVe, it's Microsoft. VALVe's first big DLC which brought Death Toll and Dead Air to Versus and gave us Survival Mode was free. The problem was that Microsoft didn't make any money off of it. So from then on, Microsoft wouldn't approve of their DLC unless they charged us for it. If it was up to VALVe, they would give it to us free. VALVe has been known for encouraging and supporting community mods. Microsoft has been known to make money where ever they can.
Re: The Sacrifice DLC
OHHHH..... that makes alot of sense.
Anyway Zach I saw the timer.... how do you know the exact time of the release ?

Re: The Sacrifice DLC
I don't. I have it set for 12am Oct 5 but I know DLC usually comes out in the afternoon or something like that...
Re: The Sacrifice DLC
I think I should probably ask what version is everyone getting?
L4D2 seems like the most obvious choice for me right now, what with them getting two campaigns essentially for the price of one.
I feel bad about not feeling the L4D1 version right now, but if I have to pay(which we Xboxer's WILL) then it just seems dumb to go for a watered down version of the game over the one that gives you more bang for your buck.
I MAY end up getting both, because hey...why not? But I can't imagine many Xboxers going for the first one over the sequel unless the first has something to set it aside.

Re: The Sacrifice DLC
I'll probably get both. You're right, though; not many people are going to get the first one if they have L4D2. As a result, it will probably be hard to find a game for the first one. I can't in good conscience only get the L4D2 version of a DLC that was supposed to be L4D1 exclusive.
VALVe will most likely make the decision on future L4D1 DLC based on how many copies of the L4D1 The Sacrifice they sell so that's reason enough for me.

Wel you all solve my problem of which I will be getting. If buying it for L4D1 means more DLC for then hell yeah ill get the sacrifice for it.

Re: The Sacrifice DLC
I'll get both if they are bundled together. If they are separate, then I'm only getting the L4D1 version first since that was suppose to be the only game to have it.
Re: The Sacrifice DLC
I love the support for the L4D1 version. I'd like to point out that it's worth getting both though. Just think of it like this...
L4D1 DLC - The Sacrifice campaign.
L4D2 DLC - No Mercy campaign.
Bonus - You can play The Sacrifice on L4D2 if you want also!
I know it's a lot of points, and if you still only get one, get the L4D1 version to support future L4D1 DLC

Re: The Sacrifice DLC
Maybe Keith can meet up with the L4D1 survivors later.
Ellis will probably be disappointed to know that he's with other people he doesn't know, or he'll be surprised, and join them as well.
Then the next thing you know, one of the L4D2 survivors dies, but it's not Rochelle. I really don't want to kill Coach, and Ellis has funny stories, it could be Nick even though most people play him the most.
