Why do you play?

Whenever I tell someone that I like to play L4D1&2 rather than call of duty or someone asks me, "why do I still play left 4 dead?" I tell them I play the game because I actually like it and whenever I play a diffrent game I'll play it for a while but I'll always go back to Left 4 Dead simplly because I enjoy playing it. And I know there's people who only get the achievements and that's it but why do you play?

I play because I enjoy playing it with my friends. If I'm on my own, I'll slap Team Fortress on instead, but if my friends are on, it's the main reason to drop everything and just relax and kill zombies.

I think I'm too laid back to play this.

Other reasons:
-I actually kind of like playing characters, rather than faceless nameless soldiers with one dimensional personalities. The L4D crew are at least two dimensional.

-I love the feeling of a close survival, and co-op in general. It feels good to bring a group of people together without everyone killing everyone else.

-Also playing as the Infected is always fun and different.

Im gonna have to agree with Bill here. Its a good feeling to know that someone on your team has your back and that you surviving is what the game is about.
