L4D3???????????????

Due to the high success of L4D and L4D2, I hope that Valve will consider making a L4D3. If so, what do you want to have improved for the next L4D?

Personally, I just want really good L4D and L4D2 DLC for a while.

I'd like them to consider it, but I'd rather they atleast release some good DLC (no two chapter crap!)

Rather than state the DLC for the first two games, I'm going to post what I'd hope for in L4D3:
-A system in versus that instantly kicks you if you friendly fire more than a few times. if it's obvious it's intentional it instantly kicks you. Would stop the team killers.

-A 8 player campaign is what I was hoping for with the Passing. Maybe something like that. Left 4 Dead is obviously a 4 player game, but some kind of 8 player campaign with two sets of four working together seperately would be cool too.

-Improve the alternative route thing Valve was banging on about. They claimed it would be game changing during L4D2's development, when it turned out to be pretty redundant and didn't really affect anything at all since the alternative route is often RIGHT next to the original route.

-A campaign mode for the Infected so people can practice for Versus better. Also I just think it'd be cool.

-Something I'd like that will never happen is unlockable survivors. There would be the new 4 naturally, but you'd unlock Bill, Louis, Francis, Zoey, Coach, Ellis, Nick and Rochelle via beating campaigns on different difficulties.

I'd like to see the original l4d1 plan, a complete city with many possible routes, integrated as an alternate game mode.

L4D3 features

Personally, I think a L4D3 would be great, but not come out too soon. Wait till late 2011. Here are some key features L4D3 should have.
1. 8 player campaigns - The Passing isn't going to have 8 player co-op, but with L4D3, it could be possible. That means it should also include 16 player versus and scavenge to increase the challenge.
2. Create your own lobbies - Remember the feature in L4D that allowed you to create your own lobbies? It was never added back in to L4D2 which is why I'm a bit frustrated.
3. Kicking the lobby leader - Many matches I've encountered had the lobby leader away or offline. Players should be able to vote off the lobby leader and stay in the lobby, then appoint a new lobby leader.
4. More unique weapons, item, zombies, and specials - The weapons look the same, the items work similarly, the zombies mainly look the same , and have similar attacks . Eliminate all that, and make it more unique.
5. Natal support - No, it's not for gameplay at all. Using Natal, you could create your own character to put in multiple campaigns while also using your voice as part of the program.
6. Story and dialogue - Face it, L4D needs more story and dialogue.
7. Fewer glitches, better use of melee weapons, cleaner HUD, and more Jesus spots - Enough said.
8. To close the deal, have the game take a simple path, and make players become lost, making a different experience every time, and to truly make everything random, including the placement of weapons, items, spawning, car alarms, witches, and no more glitched campaigns where it is impossible to get an achievement on a glitched server.

...you can definitely create your own lobbies in L4D2. How else do you think lobbies get started?

Creating Lobbies

Remember in L4D at the main menu? when you pressed X, it take you to friends currently playing online. An icon on the bottom left said: "X create lobby". The feature is not shown in L4D2. Creating lobbies in L4D2 however requires that you failed to request a lobby, then you could create your own lobby from there. So how do you create your own lobby without failing a request in L4D2?

Go to 'play with friends' and when it shows all your friends' games, hit X.

Uh, I have. And it works. It's how I managed to set up a lobby to play with my friends.


Back on topic, I'd like L4D3 to reward past players a bit. Reading save files to unlock the L4D and L4D2 survivors.

Hell, the med kit was cool, but the animation for it sucked. Could have done the healing animation, or something more unique than the standard item motion.

If I have said it once I've said it 1000 times: Sticky bomb to stun the tank and kill/stun SI. How cool would that be to slap that bad boy on a charger as he ran by.

That would be so freakin cool...like saving private ryan ghetto sticky nade...get like a super lucky stick from across the map XD that would be so cool...i support the sticky bomb idea 100000000000% lol =D





Also...i think it would be cool to have like cutscenes(not like the ones exiting/entering the campaign) so that there is an actually good storyline..maybe itd be cool to have a background story...like how the infection started.. and how they ended up on that roof 0.0 with guns...(jkjk) but seriously jsut a stronger storyline..thats pretty much my only suggestion...and maybe a flamethrower...(but thats essentially a molotov)
