Crash Course DLC - No Achievements Registering

I went through the Crash Course campaign numerous times last night w/ a friend and we couldn't get the game to recognize two achievements in particular. Tank Stumble and Quick Power would not work and we know we got these done right. Does anyone know what is up or how we can get the game to recognize our achievements?

Doing it online for some reason is extremely glitchy.

Since both achievements are actually a piece of cake, I'd suggest doing both on a local or System Link game instead. From what I've seen they register then.

We always tell people 2 things to fix this problem.

1. remove your gamertag and then recover it again. this has been known to help some people.

2. do them on local host. there IS a way to force a versus match to play on local host. you simply hit A repeatedly on Start Game/Cancel Search. Keep hitting it somewhat fast and it will eventually just start the countdown. when the countdown starts, you've forced a local host and it's just like playing on Local Host in L4D2.

Alright, thanks for the tips. I replayed the campaign locally and got the Tank Stumble achievement, even in an odd circumstance, but this makes me feel sane again.

I guess though when playing local I can't play w/ friends in the campaign or can I do the vs trick and get the server to go local too?

Yeah you can just do the Versus trick and play with a full game of 8 diff people. Since it's hosting it from your xbox, the further away they live, the worse connection they'll have but you'll always have perfect connection.

It's was very hard to get these achievements during the glitched servers. I did manage to play using a second controller and got:
1. Jumping Jack Smash
2. Nothing Special
3. Do Not Disturb
4. Crash-Proof
5. Smash Hit
6. Quick Power
and
7. Tank Stumble
using a Versus, Private, System Link lobby.

I hate the dedicated servers for CC. I wish they would patch that so we can get the achievements in a full versus party.

I didn't know the trick for making a local host match with the second controller and finally tried it the other day and it worked perfectly! I got Truck Stop, Jumping Jack Smash, Nothing Special & Smash Hit

Still missing 20 Car Pile-up, Slippery Pull & Wipefest thou... but i'll get them eventually! Thanx for the tip

I've been unable to get a local server set up for my vs games. I have a foursome to play w/ and we cannot get any achievements in vs mode.

I even tried a system link in vs mode vs my 2nd controller and the only achievement I got was smash it. I was hoping to at least get a few of the others, but nothing registered?

Did the latest patch change the local server manipulation?

I watched your video and it looked like you were able to generate the local server by doing the cancel/start cycle within a minute. I had each of the people in my party give it a try in friends only and private matches for up to 5 minutes and no auto countdown started.

2 out of the 4 of us play our games w/ our profiles loaded on MU units or USB sticks. Does gamertag recovery still apply? if so, we were not sure how to go about gamertag recovery when using portable memory units.

I have no experience with portable memory units yet...

I haven't tried yet, but I doubt they fixed the Local Host thing. Basically, it was there for when their servers were too busy. If there wasn't room on their servers to host the game, it would automatically make it local host without telling you. This is just a way to force it in to thinking there isn't room on the servers. I'll try it later tonight and let you know for sure though.
