L4D2 DLC "The Passing" out this spring. Release date, this week.

I was very disappointed by what the DLC had in store, but I still want to get my hands on the new DLC, kick some noob ass, and show my talents as a dedicated L4D player. Better hope this DLC is the same price, or free as CC, otherwise I'll be ultra pissed. Anyway... The all new DLC should release around the same time as XBLA game room. How is excited to play this new DLC?

I'm pretty excited, although kind of nervous seeing as how it's out THIS month and there's still no word on pricing.

It seems like the DLC and the new patch will offer a lot more than the L4D1 DLC. Crash Course was fun but it came up short in the fun department. Unlike the other maps it's re playability was lacking. With only two levels and hardly any tank spawns outside the finale, it got boring pretty fast. The level design was pretty generic too. With Valves new approach to level design I can't wait to see what kind of crescendos events and environments they throw at us this time!

Just saw the trailer for "The Passing" as a topic on the Xbox dashboard, and the new features will definitely have players coming for more. SI slots will be filled with AI, all Survivor slots will be filled in versus when no other humans available, smarter AI(I hope), the new gun, the golf club, and no auto-spawn in the finales; this is going to change plenty of issues with L4D2, and hopefully make it better.

I think I'm slow on the uptake, I only just noticed the Witch in the bridal getup for this DLC. Kind of neat, and gives the Witch somewhat of a backstory:

Also the campaign poster has the old survivors standing in the door of "The Happy Sex Shop"! Someone pointed it out to me recently and I almost burst into laughter:

Apparently Ellis may have a crush on Zoey, and Nick and Francis are said to interact. Nick and Francis...I can only see them hating one another seeing as they're so alike.

One of the original survivors WILL NOT be in the Passing. Chet has stated that one of them WILL die prior to the events in the DLC, and will die in that official comic book coming out.

Francis and Zoey have been semi confirmed as alive by Chet(Francis and Nick have 'unique' interactions and Ellis apparently gets a little crush on Zoey) so it looks like it's between Louis(unlikely) and Bill(highly likely).

A Rumour on the official forums states Bill AND Louis have both been confirmed with recorded lines in The Passing...so what does this mean?

It means that most likely, Francis is going to die. Personally, I liked Francis when CC came out and he pretty much hated everything. Something EPIC should happen to Francis if he's suppose to die. A massive explosion to be covered by a survivor, a huge zombie horde that requires a sacrifice so that the others can get on the rescue vehicle, who knows. If it is Francis, we'll look back at his greatest moments as a character. So long Francis(maybe not?)

Well theres a new Uncommon Common (the fallen Survivor) so that is the dead survivor and this DLC well becoming out in the next 4 days. Cant Wait. (hopes or Die)

Apparently we were deceived. The L4D2 DLC: "The Passing", is not coming in March, and will instead release in spring of this year. Hopefully, we get to see the DLC this April. My guess is that they are putting the finishing touches on the DLC to either improve it, or screw it over.

My guess is that they accidently found some glitches and are fixing them and adding some last minute touches
